The ninth version of the most prominent establishment based cricket class, the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2016, starts on April 9. While the Rajkot-based establishment was named Gujarat Lions (GL), the Pune-based establishment was termed Rising Pune Supergiants (RPS) in the development to the competition.
